I am getting really frustrated with my R reg 1997 Discovery 300TDI it will not start now.
In recent weeks I have experienced an intermittent fault of won't start / will start. The key fob seems to be working ok central locking & immobiliser warning lights all ok, engine turns over ok but it will not fire.
I have read lots of information / experiences by other Landyzone members who seem to have had the same symptoms / problem as me and cured it by replacing the spider located in the dash underneath radio.
I have seen pictures of the spider and its location in the dash taken by another memebr so know what and where to look for it, but I don't have one there on my Disco.
Does anyone know if it located elswhere on some models? or is it possible that Land Rover did not fit them to all Disco models?, and if this is the case any ideas where the fault might be?.
I did read of a member who did a quick fix by putting a temporary power supply to the fuel pump solenoid, but mine appears to be different to his, his had just a single wire to it,where mine has three wires. Does any one know is a similar quick fix can be done to the later type?.
I know there is lots of information on this subject and my bleary eyes feel like they have read it all, but if there is anyone who can add anything else your help would be greatly appreciated.
