Hi there :) ,

Trying to choose a good additive for my td4. Thinking about :
- MILLERS OILS DIESEL POWER ECOMAX
- MILLERS OILS DIESEL INJECTOR CLEANER
- LIQUI MOLY INJECTION REINIGER

Most of fuel system is fresh but tank unit and HP pump/lines are the same so something should be used.
Somebody have some experience with Millers or LM ?

In case of Millers, should i use Cleaner before ecomax? Maybe you got some other brands?
Thanks

I have used these products for years and won't use any other..... especially if you use cheap diesel fuel
http://powerservice.com/psp_product/diesel-kleen-cetane-boost/
And it is sold in the uk

Bought a 3 pack. Forte advanced diesel treatment/turbo cleaner/DPF cleaner. Will post if there are any noticeable changes.

Years ago I called Millers and asked them what was actually in their diesel additive. They said that it was basically the same stuff that fuel companies add to bulk stock diesel to make it their own. I think it is good protection if someone forgets to add it or the company is being mean with their additives. None of my diesels have ever had an injector or pump failure in probably 1 million miles between them so it certainly doesn't do any harm.

additive ingredients can usually be found on their 'safety data sheet'
most in the form of a .pdf file online

not that some of the ingredients make sense ..
e.g. 'component 72248'
http://www.millersoils.co.uk/pdf/safety/6204.pdf

2-ETHYLHEXYL NITRATE be a cetane booster ..
( i think .. without rechecking )
evidently can be bought on ebay

Well I must report just how much quieter, smoother (although this could just be a placebo effect of the quieter engine) and less smoky the vehicle is now after just a couple of hundred miles. The engine always sounded rattley before but no longer . MPG ? Well I can't report any change there I'm afraid. In fact of late my MPG has increased despite premium grade diesel, new air and fuel filters etc.
