Military style windows....

I hope you don't mind me posting this... Some military style windows for sale if anyone's interested.

First of all, there is a 'for sale' section on the form.

But..... £95 starting bid, one MIGHT consider a TAD optimistic for a second hand window frame........... when you can buy the exact same thing, NEW and UNUSED from Paddocks or Craddocks, for about £30!

Sorry, I didn't realise the for sale section was working. And without sounding rude, you can't buy this for £30 at Paddocks or Craddocks. If you looked at the listing properly, you would realise these aren't normal window frames, both panes of glass slide within the frame. They are actually quite highly sought after and a couple of months ago I saw a pair go for £150 on ebay. So £95.00 is actually cheap based on previous sales.

And they're alloy so they won't rust!

You got a bargain! I've decided to just leave it on ebay so it gives everyone a chance to bid on them. Thanks though. Though if you ask Teflon, he can get you some for £30

might just do that.
between 100 and 130 ish they generally go for but you and i both know e bay can prove everybody wrong.
can i ask where you got am from? they dont look very military , they look more like very early 110.
which is basically the same thing.

I got them from an early 110. That's the beauty of ebay, you never know what's going to happen, they could sell for lots or not at all. The fronts should sell no worries, it's the rear ones I'm curious about. I have no idea - though if the rears don't sell I'll put them on my 109 as windows!

I seem to spend hours scouring ebay. I got my 109 with a galvanised chassis and 12months mot for £800 though, I love ebay! The bulkhead is good but I bought a galvanised bulkhead from ebay for it anyway. £200 but closer to £300 with travelling costs etc. I'm keeping this landy for ever so I don't mind spending a bit.

it would certianly be interestin g to see if the rear ones sell , split rear 110 door bottoms id assume are rarer than the door tops.

Yep, very rare! I believe they were only made for one year. Unfortunately not so many people around with 5 door landys, hence the £50 start. Thanks!

I just read your post again. At some point I'll put the door bottoms on ebay. They not in very good condition though but? Who knows!

perhaps youi need to sell them with the tops.
lots of 110 owners wanting to convert to split doors id imagine.
even if theyt are rusted , they can be repaired.
