Well my td5 did 520 from full to red light, just done 300 to half a tank, dunno if that's good but by hell it's a lot lot better that the 300!!!!!!

Just to jump in and be different, I've just brought a 1991 V8 manual with LPG.Any ideas or experience what kind of figures that should do? Not expecting to be much worse than my 1994 300. Obviously depending on how It's driven etc.

about 13-15mpg

if lpg is still around half the price of petrol then you are looking at 26-30mpg equivalent

what , you want to try a v8 5.0 450 bhp rangerover lse 8mpg on petrol 18 on gas . does scare the f##k out of boy racer though . !! 28 to 30 should be right on a 300 manual . if not get it checked by a proper mechanic IE an enthusiast .:)

Unless you are getting very cheap gas you can't possibly be getting 18 on gas even on a cost equivalent basis if you are only getting 8 on the hard stuff. LPG is more than half the cost of petrol and you generaly get about 10% less mpg volume for volume.

Latest fill-up best ever figures 172miles, 10.3 litres petrol and 27 litres LPG = 20.96mpg:D
