Hi All I have noticed my new Landy auto box speedo and milometer is 40% out and I am running 235 tyres. Is it possible the gearbox sensor has gone wrong?

Quite possibly, all though the fissplap auto self reacting ****flap could be sticking. Get it checked out by a ****flap auto technician type chappie.

If it's consistently 40% out then I would suggest it has something to with kilometer readings rather than miles.
I don't suppose the Disco is an import is it?

transducer behind hand brake assembly are known to fail ,check square drive in the end of speedo once transducer is removed

Its RH drive and in mph however I think i was an import.
Jamesmartin. if the transducer failed would that not make it read less not more. This is whats confusing me.

not necessarily ive had 2 that read higher (customer thought twice ie 60mph when doing 30)its certainly were i would start , i have a used one if you want to try it then go from there

Its a shame my wife knows about it as she has been driving quite economically lol.
