Mig welding my D2

Well I was having a bit poke about under my D2 cleaning the chassis front rear and will be repainting and wax oiling it, anyways the rear does need some attention as they do its not to bad but will require some minor surgery, Ive welded many a car in my time Gas and Mig but not Mig welded anything this new with loads ECUs whats the deal I know disconnect the battery mig earth as close as possible to the work area, Just I dont want to weld it up and fry the ECUs

Yeah just take a battrey lead off and it will be fine I have welded loads of new trucks ect forgetti g to take the lead off so dont worry too much. Just make sure you have a good earth.

Just am used to cars powered by clockwork the few ecu cars Ive done I took the ecu completely

Nope no need ive never fryed the ecu in the 6 years of being a welder
