So driving home last night on the M8 "Beep Beep Beep EAS Fault". Oh f*ck I thought. I took it into a Landrover specalist today put the car on the computer and it says "Valve block fooked" mmm do I find the £1300 for a new one I was qouted or pay £500 for a second hand one well you can guess by the title of the thread what I opted for. If your my family or friends reading this Can I have money for my birthday. I know some people (non Rangie owners) will think I'm crazy saying this but, I still love the car and looked back smiling at it when I went into work this afternoon.

Range Rover P38 94on Air Suspension EAS Valve Block NEW on eBay, also, Range Rover, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 06-Jan-09 10:21:52 GMT) ;)

This can be a cash cow for any LR dealer, ind or main.Valve block faults often get logged because the system cant see height changes within a certain time - so it thinks a valve is stuck shut.(Or open.) The thing is,most likely its run out of air - worn compressor, blocked exhaust silencer or worn height sensors that give the same readings in multiple positions.Failing drive packs are also showing up more often now too.
Even if it is the valve block at fault, you can buy new solenoid coils and O ring kits. There is no need to replace it at all,esp only to find that it still faults a week later.
Dont get ripped - find out whats really wrong and fix it.

Thats what mechanics is all about, saw it many a time on trucks, valves changed because they were leaking air, but only because they were told to by another fooked bit.;)
