So, I click on my user name, get the dark green/white text on the black background pop up, I click on profile and that take me to a page with lots of stuff and 4 tabs, if I click on the "Information" tab it brings up my info and signature but I can find no means of editing my signature.

Click on your username at the top of the page, where the notifications and stuff are. You'll get a normal looking black text drop down box. Click ''preferences', that's where most of the user options are I think

Does this help ?

I'm not particularly fussed about finding my way around, I have many forums that I visit and they all shared one thing in common, clear on-screen text and graphics. I run a forum as well, so am quite aware of what can and cannot be done.

Landyzone has gone the other way for some reason and downgraded the visuals with a peculiar colour scheme for text panels that I find hard to read on a 21" TFT monitor. Why I do not know.

As I write, the text is black on white, once I post it, the text changes to a dark grey and with almost a fuzzy outline to the text.

It's not rocket science, but there is no need for it to start with.

Even bulletin boards had clear graphics and text in the early years before Windows and Forums.

Here is an example of what I have a problem with, upper half is as posted, bottom half is the post input screen:

Yep, that looks terrible, and it's totally different to what I can see! I can't test the site in every config, so please let me know what browser and OS you are using so I can try to re-create and fix.

And I am working on fixing contrast issues and colours that are hard to see like dark green on black. The software is new to me as well so I'm also finding my way around how to do all that. Please have patience while I fix this stuff.

Also, screenshots really help, so keep them coming.

Thanks.

sounds like a font issue, which is a lil odd as it should be pulling googles.

Maybe there's a conspiracy going on here. Maybe the new software was a deliberate act to attack Americas infrastructure by preventing Thor copy and pasting. :D:D:D
Eight people have been arrested after cocaine worth some £70m, destined for sale in London and the home counties, was seized in Essex.

About 200kg (440lb) of "high-purity" cocaine was found in holdalls in the boot of a white taxi on the A1089 near Tilbury Docks at 02:00 BST on Tuesday.

The driver, a 29-year-old man from Essex, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to import drugs and conspiracy to supply controlled drugs.

Seven other people were also detained.:p:p:p:p:p

OK found it, it's in the drop down under signature as stated by Accy with a partly unreadable, moving post that jumps around on my screen with partial display of the normal page.

Great, glad you found it!

Now I have a request for everyone, I've created a new forum which I'd like you all to use to keep track of the bugs/usability issues and missing functionality. If you could all please create a new thread for each problem you have in the Bug Tracking Forum. This will really help me out as we currently have multiple threads in multiple forums with issues.

Thanks a lot for your patience!

Just came across this thread - actually my first impressions on opening the site this morning were ..................... yuk :)

realistically i now think there is too much empty space on the screen although maybe if i looked i could change something to fix that ?????

No mate, what I did was 'hover' the cursor over username, drop down menu appears ...'Your profile page' on the list of stuff is 'signature', click on that and it'll take you to the eddy bit ....

Stupid fecking place to post it " 'Website Feedback, Suggestions and help" silly twunt .... :p :p

It's hard to read on XP/Firefox too, I have to constantly adjust the brightness/Contrast on my LCD monitor to make some of the stuff readable. The dark green text on the black background is a particular problem.
Seems the owners have given themselves a huge amount of stress for for little benefit. Nothing I can do changes the amount of wasted screen space or text size or the lack of speed of some parts.
