Just spent the last 20 minutes converting this: Paginaselezionefinale

into this: (see attached)

quite simple with some long hex nuts, threaded bar and a trim with the grinder. Hi-lifts and waffles weigh the same so no problems there. will post some pics when its on.

As its zinc passified or whatever you call it, should i put primer on the cut section and spray it or will it be ok?

Forgot the pics!

nice jobby - Q for you though...

the fixing points are quite close together. Do you think that with the bouncing around, the moment will snap the mounting through the waffle board, or are you having more than one mounting point?

oh - and Ratty - whots happening 'bout our boards?

Do you think if i get too much wibble on, i may snap a waffle? is that what you mean? its only held in 1 place, like the hi-lift. i will mount the waffles centrally to prevent excess movement and/or canterlever'ing :S

I bolted mine to the side of the rear body with 12mm threaded rod and nylocks. The downside is if I want to use them I need to get a 19mm spanner out but I dont see that as a biggie.

Its up to you of course, but if just using a thumb screw I would be tempted to put a couple of R clips through to make sure they dont rattle off.
