Do I take it DV was taking it easy? Most people could damage a steering damper if they tried hard enough. It seems to me that DV just wasn't up to his usual standard.
From what I gather there was a bit of scratching going on. Did anyone else sustain any other damage?

Couple of questions;
The plastic arches on the light blue disco - pro's and con's over defender type arches? Would defender arches stop more mud getting on the bodywork? (takes longer to get it off the drive than off the truck!!)
What does the tube over the spring on the darker disco's c.b. ariel do?

Disco came as standard as it's an XS model chap, you can get wider aftermarket arches from someone like M&M which is what I did to my last Disco but I can tell you from experience they can be a pig to fit, especially on a 5 door due to the amount of cutting to the metalwork around the arches/rear doors. That's because it has amber bulbs in what were the reversing lamps!
