Hi folks,

Is there a max speed for switching between High and Low diff ratio's? Or should it be switched when stationary?

1998 Defender 300TDI R380.

Thanks

Rob

no, but its not a synchro change, obviously if you shifted to low at 70 there might be an issue of your head hitting the screen and a shock to the transmission as you lifted the clutch pedal

OK cool thanks. was just wondering as Ive always come to a stop, shifted the lever then rolled off again. Nice to know I can switch it while moving at slow speeds around the yard ect.

Under walking pace at most, I like barely moving over completely stopped as easier to engage.
