It is possible yes however the eas console light still works .

since all ive done is electrical than surely its a fault .

Or a dodgy wire in the ecu plug .

There are a couple of ways of disabling the EAS and EAS messages, one is a dedicated cable and one is by bridging two pins in the ECU. Don't know which two pins though. If it's properly disabled can't see how disconnecting the battery could effect it.

If it wasnt done properly and the eas locked with the fault codes cleared then it woukdnt be a problem until the system has no power and then it powers up picking up on the fault .

I need to find if it was bypassed I think , if not im right .

If not my rangie is sat dripping oil on the road even longer lol

Everytime the engine is started the EAS ECU does a system check. Yours is obviously not properly disabled. I know a lot about how to repair the EAS system, but not a lot about those that have been coiled.

The 35 max is an advisory message only! it and the EAS don't have an interface to your engine ECU. If the engine is struggling it sure as hell has nothing todo with the EAS or coils or what colour pants you have on......

The owners handbook says the slow 35mph max message means your ride height is too low and slow down to 35, so tgats just an advisory and not imposed by the ECU ?

And pant colour is blue which is a universal colour so your quite correct about pant colour having zero effect :D

Told you in a previous post that the 35mph warning was a fault indicated by the EAS ECU as you are on coils, if you have the bypass fitted you should get EAS MANUAL warning on startup only!

I only have eas manual pop up with one beep .

Ive checked hoses and loom into ecu also under inlet pipe , still not revving over around 1700 rpm .

Looks like its a machine hookup see what that says and if thats fruitless then a rangie shall get its viking funeral .
