Hi all,
ok here we go, my mates TD4 is idleing a bit irraticly not bad but is noticeable, he has had the fuel filter changed but has made no diffrence, what do you think, dodge injector ?. Also he has had the cluch master slave done twice in the last year by a garage and is still stugling to get gears some times ( got to force it in).

On my TD4 there is 3 strips on the heated rear door glass that dont heat up and de-mist the glass, it looks like it is worn away at a couple of points is there any way i can repair this or do i just have to put up with it.

Cheers

If the gear lever has to be forced into gear - the clutch has nothing to do with it I reckon. When was the g-box oil changed last?

As for rear screen - try electro-conductive paint - Halfrauds have it - or check on eBay. It's specially for heated screen repairs.

Two strips of masking tape about 1mm apart and paint on several thick coats. Clean the window with Meths first, and leave it a couple of days to set hard.

Idling could be a dodgy injector, but I reckon there would be starting problems too.

It could be (one of) the electric fuel pump(s) playing up. Mine is a 51 plate with one pump in the tank and one under the bonnet. I replaced the original under-bonnet pump 18 months ago and it's now failing again (decent one on order). Symptoms are rough idling at times and today it cut out after it initially started.

Your mate's pump configuration may be different depending on the age of it. The under-bonnet pump moved to one of the rear wheelarches. Sing can probably explain it better than I can tho :D
