M and S green stars on dash showing

hi there
I have a td5 auto 2003 it occasionally shows on dash the green m and s star like symbols I have to stop then restart then it goes off, is it something easy to fix?

I am not sure so I will refrain from commenting, sounds expensive though, well more than the £1.50 fixes I likes

Check the red ecu plug and injector harness for oil is your first point of call.... we’ll known TD5 fault.

Worth checking the auto box oil level too.... When was the last time it’s oil/filter was changed?

Does it happen mostly when changing from drive to reverse if so it likely to be the xyz switch on the auto box quite expensive to fix.. but as already stated check the red plug on the ECU. Just did mine and it was full of oil.. needs new injector loom which will cost £30 and is an easy job..

Oil cleaned up on mine and all good now and a huge improvement in performance as well..

Unless it's the aircon drains dripping onto it. Or the connector in the harness to the switch needing cleaning and sealing.
