Well, thats us home, thankyou once again Funky Kipper and MHM working in the background.

On inspection of the road the police said that had it not been us it would have been someone else, there was oil/fuel all over the road both after the crash site and before, cop said I didn't stand a chance.

So after all your work Funky Kipper and LZ International Rescue, I now have one total write off Landrover!!

Epic Bank Holiday:eek: glad your okay

Phew .. LZIR then Insco .. not a good day!

Glad to hear you're both OK though .. ;)

is it too early to ask....are you selling bits off your motor?somone were asking me today bwt some wheels.

Never too early to ask as long as everyone survives the accident!!

Thanks for all the comments guys, I have too say, I BLOODY LOVE THE DISCOVERY!! Our aches and pains already seem to be easing, and they have not been bad to start with!! All I can assume is that the pretensioners and airbags have protected us while all around was chaos. Some 4x4 response cards I had in the top pockets above the screen have ended up in the boot, with one lodged between the seal and the glass on the back door?? How the F that happened I have no idea??

The inside of the Discovery was a total mess what with our luggage, food, phones, sat nav etc, it was all over the place, but we are OK! It was said above, fate, it could have been so much worse if it happened earlier when the road was busier?

I have told the insurance company that I want to buy it back, but need them to sort their end out and come up with a settlement figure, unless I can get it really cheap I won't have it.

I've been up to it today and got my CB, Tank guard, veg kit and all luggage etc, so it is a clear vehicle now, just need to wait and see. My (soon to be Ex) father in law has given me a car to use for now untill I can sort something out. Its a Renault Scenic but beggars and all that??

I also took a few more pics of the crash site and the vehicle.

Psst..nobodys looking ...

How fast were you really going?

LOL, seriously no more than 40 mph, but of course that was the actual impact speed as well cos it happened so fast there would have been minimal deceleration and certainly no braking from me. I think I automatically got full opposite lock on to steer into the skid, but other that that we were passengers on the way to the impact.
