Hi, newbie here, just picked up a FL1 1.8 as a run around for a dog carrier!

I have a strange problem, even if you can call it a problem, between 2 - 3000 rpm if you apply little throttle (ie 1/8th) or just coast in gear, it appears to be a bit lumpy. Strangely turning on air con (ie putting load) and doing the same exacerbates the problem.

If you apply any more throttle it is fine. You can red line it in every gear and performance is fine. Idle is fine, does it all the time hot or cold.

I've just serviced it and replaced plugs, HT leads, dist cap, oil, coolant. I cleaned the idle air control valve too. Prior to my ownership the HG was replaced with the upraded gasket, skimmed etc. It isnt using any oil/water.

Not sure if I'm expecting too much and it is a minor issue, but the car would be perfect for what it is if I could sort this.

I can only randomly think now:

Coil
Crankshaft sensor
Fuel Filter

Going to try injection cleaner soon too.

Any ideas?

Ta

Matt
