I've searched long and hard here and other forums,

Does anyone actually know what the rated maximum torque / expected torque rating is of the LT85 (solid case) and LT230T transfer case?

As a shock load, I can appreciate the following sounds a bit much, but what level can this "heavy duty" much talked about gearbox + transfer case actually take, with a sensible right foot?
505 horsepower @ 6200 rpm
475 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4800 rpm
7000-rpm redline:eek:

What do you think would give first with the following configuration:
LT85 (solid case)
LT230T (1.003:1) [26D] + quaife LSD (torque proportional differential)
STD propshafts (suitable for 3.5v8)
Truetrac LSD's front + rear (torque proportional differential)
STD landrover v8 Defender HD front & rear 1/2 shafts (24 spline rear; 33 spline front [to the spider])
STD (thick driving members).

Thanks in advance

lt230 suffix c or later with cross drilled gear used on big v8s,ftc 5090 is zf to lt230 adapter which you may be able to fit to a suitable auto box
