LT77 gearbox

Hi

does anyone know if the LT77 always had synchros, I have a ex MOD gearbox, is there any change that it might not have synchros in it

odd question I know, but all the same

they all have the last box that didnt was a series 2a in the 60s, if yours is a 51 mod spec it will have lower 1st gear but basically the same as the others

I am having to double clutch into 1st and 2nd, could it just be the selector needs adjustment?, I have heard about it being possible to shim under the reverse spring to alter the position a little do you feel that may help?

it either means balk rings are worn out or clutch isnt clearing fully , adjustment on reverse plunger just alters whether stick i across enough to go forward/backwards

sorry should have said the box has just had a full MOD recon and just gone in, clutch is brand spanking new also, the clutch feels spot on, do you think that the synchros maybe be knackered on a newly recon'd box, surely that cannot be right?
