Iv eBay watched it too for when I get to the gearbox going to do my transfer box first and fit that then worry about doing my gearbox once I have a 1.4 back i cant live any longer with the 1.2 lol

How do you plan on fitting the oil seal collar? Or is that another tool you need to buy

Got my eyes on a 20 ton press.

But failing that I'll nip over to my mates workshop and use his.

I brought a eBay 20 ton press from a place in Rockford all I can say is it does what it says on the tin!!!!!! Cracking bit of kit buy one you won't regret it!!!!! I must use mine every other time I go to my workshop bearings seals flatten to odd bit of metal wouldn't be without it now interestingly it's identical to a sealy one I looked at bet it from the same place to start with

The one you've got looks a bit more substantial though.

Tbh it looks identical idsay I got mine prob 3 months ago and Couldent get it for less than I paid the 119 one has 35 delivery so is 155 we're as the one I got was 149 delivered and the company is only down the road to me so if it was crap I could go in and have a go at some one :-D

I intend to collect, it's only 45 mins to an hour drive from me.

i brought mine to do wheel bearings on a renault scenic and bushes on my disco after doing them two jobs it paid for its self in savings on taking the bearing some where to get pressed out and the effort of hammering the bushes on my part. when i got mine i coupled it with these two and it does virtuly everything iv thrown at it.

I've got the laser equivalent of the bearing separator.

Might have to invest in that driver set!

makes putting in seals and bushes races sooo easy with a lipped oil seal i used the old bearing race updide down on the seal then a apropreat sized bit from the driver set on top of that and press it in.

some are a little fiddly so using it by hand and a hammer on the end of the shalft is better but ul work it out

il warn u lo first time u use it you will nearly **** ur self from the bang as u take out ur first really stuck bearing!!! coor they dont half go with a BANG!!!

Any reason why not to go with aluminium ones? Are they more likely to break? Local Machine Mart has a set of Clarke ally ones in.
