Bought my first 2004 range rover back in 2008 I think it was, lovely car, 1 previous owner 63K miles, sold it when it had done 100K (divorce) nothing went wrong! Fantastic car
Bought an old TD5 03 plate commercial, it had had a hard life, put seats in it, new rear doors (easiest option and needed painting anyway) new carpets and even changed the head lining to get rid of the sheep food smell!
Started first time every time, pipe from the clutch master cylinder to slave rubbed though and that was the only time it ever let me down, fantastic car, chassis rot so sold it, wish I’d kept it and had the chassis done now.
Bought a 2006 disc….. worst car ever, and I’ve had some cars.
Spent £2k on belts, new oil pump, new sump on gear box, I know they are rouble so did everything preventative you could.
Lots of little issues, box of neutrals due to linkage on side of gear box.
Alternator failed returning from Cornwall with caravan on back.
Following year engine went bang on way out of Cornwall, only had it 18 months sold for spares or repairs.
Just bought 05 plate L322 Vogue SE 110K miles, a receipt for £1700 gearbox rebuild at a gearbox specialist less than 5k miles ago.
Had the front to rear brake pipes done as I know they can be an issue along with all rear flexs.
Suspension problem, I will ask in the relevant forum
