Advice please,

Been out today and had music on, turned into a junction and lost all sound. When I came to a rest pressed info again and back it came. Now lost the sat nav option on the front screen and seem to have some other colour options for the screen itself, albeit looks a little smaller, 54 plate Vogue

Strange one, anyone had the same thing

Thanks

Hippo,

Thanks for getting back, had a quick look and all seems well regarding damp and corrosion. One thing though, have lost the Land Rover screen on opening the door and also should the RED power light on sat nav unit stay on even without key in,

Thanks

Red lamp stays on for about 3 minutes after ignition off or any door opening...

The LR Splash screen is delivered via the Sat Nav unit....eject the disc and reinsert to see what will happen.

Mine hiccups now and then!

Guy's,

Thanks again will carry out both suggestions tomorrow as not got time this evening. Did try to eject disk Saint, but not playing ball, am I doing something wrong, i.e ignition on ?

Just to update for someone else who may experience the same problem. I followed the guy's advice but found no corrosion to speak of. Pulled out the sat nav unit and sprayed all the pins and connectors with WD40. Popped back in and all is well including being able to eject again. So again thanks to all who responded.

My old 3 series BMW used to have the same problem. I think the sat nav system in the L322 is the same? I wouldn't use WD40 thought as it tends to gum up after while and cause more problems. Get some electrical contact cleaner from Halfords.

WD40 is not good for contacts, you need contact cleaner/lubricant, you also need to stop the water getting at the kit.:)

Thanks again, just when I thought I had got it right, I go and put something on that potentially will make it worse, will get some contact cleaner and do it again
