Lost my oil filler cap

Strong smell of oil today on the drive home from work.
Opened the bonnet and there is no oil filler cap and oil is everywhere.
Must have loosened it when I changed the spill off pipes on the weekend.
Anyone got know where to get one or is it a main dealer part .

Well you certainly won't get one from Asda. Land rover dealers, BMW dealers, Vauxhall dealers. Cap for M51 engine.

Your right - checked Asda and Tesco with no luck. I'll try Woolworths tomorrow. If that fails I'll pop in the dealership.

Think you may have a problem finding a Woolworths these days.

Thanks for your help but I think this is the petrol one.
Does anyone know the part number for the BMW diesel one?
I cant find it on Rimmerbros or paddocks etc.

Ordered the cap - it was STC3699 - £6 from the local dealership.
