Loss of power when towing

Hi,
any advice for a P38 diesel 2.5 DSE (98) that loses power - has happened quite a few times when towing. When I put my foot hard down to overtake, seems to hit something like a rev limiter. Have to crawl to safe stop and turn off for few minutes. When start again, seems to have cleared and off we go. Embarrassing and dangerous. Any ideas why and how to stop this happening?

Check your intercooler hoses for delamination inside, mine had the same as that and the elbow coming of the turbo was all split inside and blocking the pipe as turbo spooled up.
