Loose tailgate / lock housing

I have freelander 1 ,and tailgate plastic lock/number plate housing has come away from body,and is loose

it appears to be the rubber seal between the body and plastic housing,the two bolts are tight.

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix,are they glued together

appreciate any help

Hi, welcome to LZ and Freelander ownership.

The rear door handle coming away is a common problem with the F1. I've never had a problem with mine, so not familiar with the ins and outs. If it takes a while for a response, there are loads of threads about this sort of problem that might shine some light on your situation. A quick google found these for starters...

Seems a common occurrence due to age after a while.
