Loose Gearlever

Ok, noticed today driving my landy that gearchanges didnt feel quite right. Seemed difficult to select 3rd/4th in particular and generally the entire stick felt loose.

When i got home notice that if pushed to the left side it stays there and does not return to centre. Is this something to worry about or an easy fix? I seem to remember when i had the centre console appart in the past under the gear lever there was a bit of spring steel which appeared to serve the purpose of spring loading the gear lever. Is this likley to be what has failed? What is the name of this piece ? would be handy when it comes to ordering a replacement.

On the lt77 it's called the bias plate, not sure if the r380 is the same.

I fu are already in there replace the springs too(maybe this is your real problem, the left one).........and the yoke.......these are cheap parts all from the selector and at least u'll know thet for a time everything will be OK there........easy fix remove the centre console and it's a four bolt thing.... the yoke(or bush change pivot acording to the gearbox type) is under the plate
