Well, technically its not my first drive as i had to take it for an mot but i have just insured my 4.6 v8 for £887 which isnt too bad as im 27 with 0 no claims to use. Just need to wait for my certificate then i can tax it and go for a drive destination unknown.

Im already worrying about what will break first:doh:

When i got her

nothing tweaked. i left it sat on lowest setting whilst its been parked up. After changing bags and compressor etc the last thing i want is more EAS faults
Leaving it in Access only means more stress on the components, as the system will need to raise the car when you come to use it and run the compressor to refill the tank.....

With it left in Standard, if it only drops 1/2 inch, the system only has to top up that 1/2 inch and not the full travel....!!!

Showing my lack of awareness already then. I assumed there would be less wear on the parts. Not to worry, from today it will be used daily so no more sitting on the floor.

i dont think they look that bad. Im not a fan of massive wheels or add on chan bits, hence the removal of drug dealer edition tints, i just think steps make them look a little bit more purposeful haha

No problem, it's just that steps are one of my pet hates. And i don't see the point of a plastic bull bar. :):)

I think steps finish the p38 off nicely as long as you go for the originals & not the chavy chrome options. Also, as long as your EAS is in good order there's no reason for leaving it in access mode...thats what its there for.

No way i would fit chrome ones to it after all the ball ache trying to de-chav it. Will only fit genuine rubber ones.

Anyway managed to get my temp cover note emailed over, got tax and then went and picked up the mrs from work. Got there and back in one piece so thats good.

Does seem to tramline a little though, might get my wheels all balanced tomorrow and have the tracking done at the same time. Then Friday its going in to have the centre silencer removed :D

They are very sensitive to tyre types and pressures. Also the slightest play in the draglink, track rod etc will cause problems:eek:

Under the new MOT regs it may fail with a missing centre silencer.

Had to put steps on mine due to getting my 87 year old mum in/out. Got used to them now and very useful in not getting so many people opening doors against the bodywork. Wife likes them on so no going back. Only a few dings in them as we rent a cottage every year that only a 4x4 can get to.

My mot tester is something to do with Range Rover Register and is a very nice chap:)

Think i will start with tyre pressures and go from there
