Hi, my 2002 L322 has failed it's mot, one of the failures was the rear outer balljoint bushes (both sides), I have tried the home remedy approach to pulling/extracting the bushes with no luck, I am looking for someone, within a reasonable distance of Livingston, who may have the extractor and is will to lend, hire or sell me the tool, or if anyone knows someone in Scotland that hires these out that would also be useful (I have checked my local plant hire but they don't do anything this specific)

This is the set i used, worked just fine :)
Used the same set to do top and bottom and I also changed my track control arms as they were seized up solid and the kwik fit man couldnt undo the bolts to adjust the rear tracking although i had to cut the bolts off each side on the inner track control arm using an air hack saw or you could use a 1 mm cut off disc in an angle grinder.
when you put the bolts back in the top and bottom MAKE SURE THE HAND BRAKE IS OFF, as I didn't and struggled like billy until I released the handbrake.

When you are done you can sell them to Alan as a butt plug set...

It won't be big enough from what people say.:p and I wouldn't touch anything you have had your hands around, slag.:D:D:D

If you buy from the people in the link then do so with confidence. Had a problem with a torx socket set, one broke, full refund as they couldn't replace the item.
Oh good morning Alan I dread to think how you broke it............

It won't be big enough from what people say.:p

You could leave them in the box i suppose :D
Apologies OP, i forget that everyone on here aren't as twisted as us.:)

Morning Andy, lovely to know I'm always on your mind. I forget my own strength sometimes, had the torx set for 9 months and they couldn't replace the broken one so gave me a full refund.:D Us, twisted? I thought everyone was the same as us.;):D

Well this forum could never be accused of being stuffy or clicky, or professional, mature, sensible, boring.............:)

I have the Land Rover tool for the upper bush lying around in the garage somewhere if you want it but unfortunately I don’t have the tool for the lower one.
