Hi All,
Not wanting to break with my seemingly annual tradition of swapping Land Rovers every 12 months, i've had a look around for L322s, this was after chatting to a chap with one at the LPG pump on Saturday morning.
I popped out to see one today which was up for £9,500. It was a 4.4V8 Vogue with LPG on 78k. It had recently had a new gearbox (recon) for which i've seen the receipts. It drove very well and was very tidy.
When we arrived back from the test drive, i noticed a very loud whirring noise, which turned out to be the EAS compressor, the car was also very slow to change height.
I've only started to do some digging on price since returning home and it seems 9.5k for a 2004 is pretty steep. It also sounds like the compressor is on the way out, i'm guessing this will be a sod to change given that there is a doughnut tank in the wheel well.
The current owner mentioned he had a battery drain issue with the car and believed it was relate to the sat nav which had therefore been disconnected, which is another concern.
Whilst i was there i tentatively offered 8k which he rejected, so i know he's looking for 9 or there abouts, which given the potential issues sounds like its going to cost me a tonne more.
Other than that it was very clean and tidy.
Any thoughts
