Looking for a decent 300tdi 90 in the South East

I don't think this thread should count as spam so here goes...

My Stepson wants to get himself a 300 TDi 90 for around £3k. We've been looking around and thought we'd found one but it was a dud. A clear MoT failure (despite having 10 months to run it) and significant problems with the engine.

Does anyone know of a 'trust worthy' place to get one in the area, private or trade? We are near Reading.

Any tips greatly appreciated. If you want to sell yours best PM me.

One thing's for sure for three grand it won't be a good un unless you get very lucky.

I wanna 300tdi fender for 3k

There's an "L" reg tdi 90 CSW for sale privately near Woking but its got a £6500 piece of paper in the window. If you're interested I'll get the number. Nowt to do with me but I've driven past it and its been up for sale for several months. It looks clean enough.

Yeah, I think you're right. We would do much better by spending at least £3,500. There's a couple of decent lookers around for that.

Generaly speaking there are very few for sale at all, which is a good sign in my view.

I'll keep my eyes peeled.

There was a 300tdi 90 (with 76k on the clock, a recent re-spray, new cambelt, new rear springs and 12 months MOT) going for £3200 just down the road from me about 6 months go. I negotiated a deal with the garage for £2800. I passed the info on to several members of this forum who were after a 300tdi 90....... and nobody even went to look at it.

IMO...... You would be better off buying a 2.5TD 90 in good condition and a rotten 300 Disco

Put em together and you will have a good motor

That's poor. I reckon you need to buy any motor in the next 12mths, after that me thinks the prices will rise again. IMHO
