locking chubby box in boot

so that little lockable box in the rear, seems it dont want to lock??? key fits and everything turns as it should when holding lid open, but when shut it's as if it wont engage in the catches, is this a normal prob? anything I should be looking for,doing??

Do what I did, remove the lid and install one of these instead ;)

cheers, all sorted with 5 minutes tinkering time, added a couple of washer shims under each of the "locking bits" then found it was still hitting on the locking plates, simply placing one's knee on the lid for a bit of downward pressure whilst turning the key and its sorted

fixing the easy stuff puts a smile on ya face, just order new resistors from evil bay to fix 1 and 2 on the heater
 
I put them on the lid side, but may have been unnecessary, as placing left knee on left of lid, right hand on right of lid, slight downward pressure, key turns easy, didn't try that before adding the washers
