hi all, bought a 2000 2.5 dhse last month went on holiday. came home and the battery has drained, the key is just turning in the lock and not lifting the button. have just put a lead on the starter solenoid to get power, waited for the 30 min keycode lock out to pass and the key fob will not open the vehicle:mad:, any advice on what my options are now would be greatly appreciated, thanks

have you entered the eka code?

if not then you wont get anywhere without it!

if the key isnt doing anything its either super locked or broken somewhere in the lock meck.

the only way to force entry is break the quater glass in the rear door or saw the door striker. if you can get hold of a s/hand quater glass they are easy to replace!

thanks for the reply, just spoke to the guy i bought it from and he has lost the code - can be obtained from a dealer he said? - if i smash the quater can i still open the door and will the vehicle start with out the code?

hi j the range, i am in liverpool too, now the st helens dealer has closed would you know who is our nearest dealer now thanks

will yer resync box werk on it j?

you need the code to start the car so dont go smashin it up yet unless yer desperate to get in.

even then how are you gonna secure it? get a window first!
