Anyway.......I like my td4 and use it for all it's worth.......I would like it with a lower gear option, which it needs. Autos address this problem to an extent by masking it.
If you want a Disco then get one, I don't. I just want a lower ratio.

A Freelander isn't the best choice for doing what you want, seriously.


Mine does what I want it to and what I bought it for, if it didn't i'd get summat that would.

I don't hate the idea of them, it's just that they rust so terribly........the 1st 3 door 3.5 V8's were very cool. It's just a rust thing that I can't shake having seen them built and then die.
Love the interiors.

Hmmmm i would have thought the fact its pants at doing what you want might be an indicator that it aint a towing vehicle.

Whilst there is pishtaking it well founded. Sell it and get something that does what you want. Simples.

But thats just my opinion.

So to summarise?? you have a gaylander that doesn't like towing boats up the slipway?


As I see it, given that there's no LOW Range option. You can use something else to launch/retrieve the boat. Or get a smaller boat.


OH and I almost forgot. your, a knob... :rolleyes:

A tosser wouldn't want to sit on a tow-bar. You've obviously tried it......chances are you're actually still stuck on it seeing as that's the only available opening you've got to schpiel from. ****.:D

He's got a Hilux…….that'd be the smart choice on the whole boat launch thing
