Hi all - hope you have sunshine - we have some here in Rugby. I have aquired in a moment of either madness or stupidity lol a llA of 1962 vintage. I have a few things to sort out but intend keeping for a while. The bigest job that will need attention is likely to be R&I D&A the gearbox (Ihave another box lined up). I have a toolbox that is erring completely on the metric. What would you advise in the way of BSW and/or AF spanners and sockets, is there that lil gem in the running gear ect that is not one usualy find in the tool box. (By the way my alternative box is in Wadebridge so if you are down there and coming up to bristol or mids let me know if you can help bring it nearer)

I've found that most of the nuts on my S3 have a close enough metric equivalent but for the rounded off ones I've got some of those spiral nut gripping sockets. Imperial spanners for the brake nuts seem to be a much better fit, though. For some nuts and bolts the easiest solution is to cut them off and, where possible, replace with metric.
