Lite guard instal clip thingies?

I got a set of lite guards some time ago but never installed them.
The thought of drilling holes in the body scared me.
I am over that now

My question is, if you look at the picture (you may have to zoom it in) what are the clip thingies on the top of the guard.
The bottom are the plastic hinge things.
I assume the top clips allow for removal?
The guards didn't come with anything to install them with.

Yes it is so they can hinge down to get at the light lenses etc. I binned the cheap clips and used stainless bolts and captive riv nuts in the wing panel. My light protectors are from LR, made of heavy duty plastic coated steel, and match the radiator grille pattern perfectly. The ones you pictured look a tad on the flimsy side to me.

Mine look different to those at the top. It's kind of a flat bar that the screws go through into a riv nut. The bottom is just P clips.
