Lift Pump Disco

Hi All have a 300 disco with 250.000 on clock it gets abused big time
and im always having little nigles but the old gal keeps on going ,live
on farm so it gets plenty of proper work.. i have found landy zone fantastic for help, like i changed fuel filter on friends freelander 05
wouldn't have done it without photos off this site what a stupid place to locate it under rear wheel arch floor pan..!!!:doh: just about to fit a new
lift pump to my disco as im getting power loss white smoke .this only happens when filter is running low on juice have changed filter blown
pipe back into tank out ect..

Before you fit a new lift pump have you cleaned out the fuel sedimenter? When does it smoke? How much white smoke are you getting? Is it a smokescreen or just a very light haze?
