lidl battery charger with jump start

I've a draper commercial unit that has a timer on it and needs a 16 amp supply to jump start.

75A wont actually jump start a vehicle with a flat battery (more like 400/500A needed), what it will is put a fast charge in the battery and will let the battery do the work once it has a bit of charge in it. Still not bad value though.

neither will a 200amp, what your doing is boosting it .
most batteries have 500+amps cranking capacity

Saw that advertised after spending 2x on a lesser-specced one. 3 years warranty is handy too.
You'll have to get in quick, the Eastern Europeans love their car accessories and will snap these up like hot cakes!

Never understood the point? Put just enough juice in your battery to start the car then rely on the alternator to finish the job? And kill that also. I may be wrong as is often the case but I don't like the idea and won't be buying one. Ever.

It will not kill the alternator, the battery even when fully flat is only going to draw ~8 amps, the headlights on your car put more of a load on the alternator than this. Even the old Lucas Series alternators were 45 amps, so more than capable of charging a flat battery and running the lights all at the same time.

Using boost chargers to start your car is no different than jump starting a car with flat battery, except you've already partly charged the battery.

Hmmmm seems like a good buy BUT ive bought similar over the years and ive found when you use Them as much as I do they invariably breakdown! So I tend to steer clear! Might be OK for limited use? Good luck

It says 75a pulse doesnt say how long probably very short duration , just a fancy boost setting set up so that it wont burn itself out .

Bought one last night, its a heavy lump, but works a treat, and give a volts as well as % reading during charge, there is also a setting for Gel Cells. Considering the average battery charger is the same money without half the features this has I'd say it's a dam good purchase, even if you didn't use the boots function.
