LED spots and side lights?

Hi guys, been away for a while..
just a quicky..

Can i swap my normal side light bulbs and headlight bulbs for LED ones or do i need to upgrade the wiring and fitting etc??

Unless the law has changed recently, it's illegal to use a non filament bulb in a fitting designed for a filament bulb if the vehicle is post 1986. You can however exchange a filament light fitting for a LED light fitting.

that makes led brake light bulbs on a motorbike technically illegal then

I personally wouldn't bother with the main lamps, as stated above they're not legal, but it's your own choice, I have LED sidelights and they are spot on, no problems as of yet 2X 9 LED WHITE R5W 1156 207 REAR/ REVERSE/ TAIL bulb UK | eBay I got these, but check incase

hey dave.. got some White LEDs same as the ones you have only there 5 LED not 9 still 207 tho.. mine look Slightly Blue even tho they are white on the side of the bulbs, do you have this with yours??

Hi, the one's I got off eBay are pretty much a pure white, some LED's do appear blue-like, I don't know if they vary from different batches? Different quality of bulbs I suppose, how much were your and where did you get them from?

Btw, I wouldn't have thought you would have to change the wiring for main lamps (if you decide to change them) providing the bulbs are the same wattage, not 100% sure though

nxt yr be putting angel eye headlights on it....

Pass a landy some mornings on my way to work through the winter. He has led's in his side lights to me they are to clinical much prefer the warm glow from the original bulbs..

Done this myself, you going to get the Powerful UK ones?

This picture was the Iriduim ones, but if you still want decent lights I don't recommend, and the yellow light looks rubbish. I sold my iridium ones and bought some of the clear ones, much better lights, but the iridium ones did look great in the sun
