Just wondering if the various LED Defender headlights available can be used as aux spot lights?

Probably have to make or find a decent mountable housing though

Also since they are aux spots would it be possible to wire them up so dipped beam and main beam come on togther?

Cheers

Sorting out the mechanicals is probably going to be your biggest problem.
As far as wiring the two LED sets, main and dip is concerned, that shouldn't present any difficulties, especially if the specs on each are "equivalent light output" instead of 55 watts of electrical power. Equivalent light output should draw less current than the 55 watts, if you get my meaning.
Either way, I would advise that you use relay switching triggered from the vehicle main beam circuit.

Ive already got wiring in place for my 250w Lightforce spots, properly relayed, off the main beam.

I ask as the led headlights are bloody bright yet compact and not overly expensive, found a set from SP for £115 I think.

Was thinking I could probably use the housing from a cheap set of 7" spots, chop em up and fit the led headlights inside.

More trying to work out if its possible to start with, as im not 100% my Lightforce spots will fit the AFN HD winch bumper
