Now then,
I’ve got led halo lights however when I have sidelights on the headlights stay on as well just wondering why this might be as it should only be the halo ring lighting up
Cheers

What car do you have ?
Who wired the lights in ?
How are the sidelights wired [as standard the sidelights come on first and then my headlights, my sidelights stay on] ?
Have you removed the dim/dip relay (do you have one) ?

Sorry it’s a defender 90 300tdi , previous owner installed them , I’ve had a new dip dim relay put in

Depending on the age/wiring - maybe linking the pins, maybe just removing it.
If it's an anodised black heatsink like assembly, you can just remove it. That resolved this issue on mine when I installed LED headllights.
If it's (I think) an orange relay looking thing - then remove and bridge the pins as above.

I should also state that the halo lights work fine with ignition on and the switch set to side lights it’s when I turn the engine on that the headlights then come on

I’ve linked pin 2 and 8 now relay buzzes?
You can buy special bypass relays, you can make your own bypass relay (which I have done) by using this guide: link or you can just use a length of wire with some spades on it depends how tidy a solution you want and how much time/money you have. But it definitely sounds like a sun dip issue. No idea who thought it was a good idea. Defintily much better to have them on or off. Don’t see the value of a dim setting.
