Disco 2 Leaky windscreen or sunroof?

Ha, my friend's Disco ceiling has been done with Homebase magnolia emulsion! Looks bloody horrible but almost fall for it from a distance!!
I have a fairly good headlining so I would just like to keep it that way as long as possible, so I will try some evostik contact adhesive, good shout thanks

Sorry for my blunt reply I was in the pub! It is likely yes. Undo the plastics off the front of the headlining and pull the front door rubbers off and the front will drop down enough for you to see where its coming from, if no water marks get the hose on the go too.

Sticking the headlining cloth back to the foam doesn't work as it soaks the moisture up and the glue shows through, will look messy I'm afraid. I tried to do mine before I took the plunge and got it professionally recovered. Cost me 120 to have it done in black

Norratall! Never like to interrupt someone having quality time, especially in this new age where fun is a sin :D

That's useful info. So I can actually take a look fairly easily, and maybe test. I can probably take that on, but removing the headlining etc is just too big a job for now. If i keep the disco forever (which was the plan) I may one day find the money to have a proper job done paid for. I still have to stick the cloth back up in mean time so maybe pins/needles would be better than spraying gloop! Sayin that, good old duck tape may be as good as anything else
 
Weaving a couple of pins right at the edge might actually be a good idea, would never see them I don't think.

There are loads of tutorials on the net for removing it, just do the front half and you'll be able to see in fine

The car was on dead level. Dry for two weeks then one day of rain. The front passenger sun visor has that plastic frame/pocket above it, the roof lining in there is slightly damp but only towards the windscreen at the far end, and only a few drips came out. I looked at the two top corners of the A Pillar outside and the driver's side looks better than passenger side, which is hard to describe but basically it peeled back easier and looks like there's a hole where the rubber goes that I could shove some good stuff into!

Hi, the roof gutters & the top windscreen seal are outside the car jobs, the sunroofs/drain tubes & the plastic troughs they connect to & roof bar gaskets are jobs you can only with the roof lining out. Having said that some do silicone the sunroof glass to frame & frame to roof & round the roof bar gaskets from the outside, all the ones I've seen, how can you put it, were not to pleasing on the eye but I suppose if needs must;).
 
I was tempted to use sticks like ****, but maybe that will be too much work to get off (acetone maybe) if i ever do the job properly.
PS what are "roof bar gaskets"?

Yeah I found it fiddley just take your time as there's lots to remove & it bends very easily behind the rear sunroof so get help to remove it . I would definitely get a plastic trim removal tool for getting the fur tree fixings out & pull them out straight without damaging them. I'm not sure what colour your interior is but some of the beige fur trees are no longer available, the grey ones are.

They are foam pads with a hole in the middle which stop the roof bars making contact with the paint work & also act as a seal.
