Leaking engine oil........

Ever since I got my 90 (300tdi) it has never leaked engine oil.

Last week I had the oil and oil filter changed.

Now she is leaking!!!

I have not had a real close look yet but this morning I had a quick look with a flashlight underneath.
The oil is dripping off of the front diff but I cant see where its leaking from to get onto the diff.

Any ideas?

My 200 did this and it was a loose oil filter, not sure if 300 is in the same place though.
 
The 300 tdi oil filter sits directly above the diff, a careless mechanic would have just spun the filter off & fitted a new one, all the oil from the old filter will be sitting in a recess on top of your diff & will continue to drip for a while unless washed off !!
 
Hi guys,

Iv got an oil leek on my 2.5td 90 my sump has no oil in now and when i look underneathe the gear box is black with oil it seems to have come from somwhere on the back top area of the engine but the sump is clean. there is a puddle of oil on the top of my engine the opposite side to the injectors? my mate seems to think it might be the rocker cover gasket which means nothing to me so was wondering if anyone could help?

is there a fair bit of back pressure and a puff puff noise coming out of the oil filler hole by any chance ?
 
i had it on the side of a steepish hill and i was stuck at the time with the engine running, cant hear anystarge noises, the engine was running fine i think untill i turned it off when i was back on the flat, i havent checked the filter but will try that next.
