Hi all,

We seem to have a significant amount of water leaking into the "lock box" in the boot of our freelander 1 (not sure on proper term but where the jack and that is kept). Even when we dry it out completely it then gets soaked again, enough water is seeping into it to create and actual puddle. Any ideas what I should look for as the cause of this?

Thanks.

That's probably the most asked question on the forum.
The search function will bring up 1000's of the same question.
Look under boot cubby or Freelander fish tank. ;)

I think the carpet absorbs from below at the tool box retaining screw and also around the seam of the fish tank. I have had the same issue as some kind soul previous must have got very angry and massacred the carpet around the seam area leaving the fishtank with carpet. I put clear sealant around the joins enough to cover the problem. Fingers cross the frog eggs will not there later.
