Me and roy have been chatting to one of the organisers of http://www.bristolandwestlandrovershow.com/index.html His name is Mark Pattenden and he is a member on Landyzone as Discovery2man and he should now have a nice shiny orange username.

If you have a look on the website you will notice that the show isn't the normal commercialised show, it's for charity BLESMA

Basically Mark likes to set himself a bit of a challenge, and for this show he wants to have the record for largest Land rover gathering in one place. The Blesma challenge is to get more than 1000 Land Rovers into the shape of a Land rover for the record.

We are planning to have a club stand at the the show, and from speaking to Mark it sounds like it could be a very good weekend!.

So the question is, who is interested in having a LandyZone club stand? On the forms it says 8 vehicles per club, but Mark says that if we can raise more, he will find a way to accomodate us.
So have a look at the website, see what you think and Vote in the poll.

Think any free tickets ought to be given to those with most kids and therefore those who are most in need, financially and psychologically :D ........ So by my reckoning that'd be me and Ryder :D , unless anyone can claim otherwise

Or you could issue them on the basis of who might be able to supply the best bribe .......... Lemon Drizzle , anyone ? :D

I think I fall into most of these categories , three kids, about to lose me job at Gatwick and mechanically retarded.

I take it you mean who is RESPONSIBLE for the most kids........wonder who that might be......umm.....

Accy you can bung me down as a definite for the whole weekend and time on the stall though there's no way my lad will let me get away without doing the off-road course

Well up for the challenge anorl but wondering who will be on the stall as we get stuck in the most complicated car-park ever?

When I wrote that it seemed to make total sense. Just read it back and now i'm confused!

I have emailed Mark (the organiser) to enquire about any free places. My perception was that because we will have an unusually large group, the cost will be divided up so that everyone can benefit. Hopefully we can have that confirmed before getting into a deep debate about it.

There is talk of manning the stall... We will just have a club stand, so for example it will be something like the camel trophy stand at the LRO shows. We don't have anything to sell on a stall as such. We could order piles of LZ stuff and try to sell that but i'd prefer this to be more of a social thing to be honest. I might take some samples along so that people can see whet there is, or if anyone wants to order and collect at the show that may be a good idea.

This is the first time I have ever organised anything like this so please bear with me! the order to do it at the mo is:

1, Let me know if your coming on the club stand with your motor
2, Fill in the Blesma challenge form if you want to be part of it
3, Once we have numbers I will make a group booking and take deposits
