The clamp chains themselfs might not be long enough to fit around the wheel completely , apart from that the front plate is still going to block your nuts, either way, if its does fit on, just make it sit central to the wheel and drive it anyway lol
Driving away without trashing your suspension isn't possible if the clamp has been fitted correctly.

I just tow the vehicles with the clamp still on em.

There's a certain liquid (not saying what) that the pikeys round us use, pour on padlock, wait 2 mins, hit with hammer and it shatters like glass. We have lost 9 ivor williams flatbeds in 7 years because of that stuff. They might get a little shock when they come back for the next one though.... Guess that stuff might take it off and would be a lot less conspicuous than a petrol disc cutter
Or you could just buy a flatbed truck with a hiab crane
