Sorry to hear that.

What sort of steering lock did you have fitted? Were the wheels on full lock?

I will have a look, the steering lock was a fortress, the police are **** and the insurance well thats a different stort.

Its took the Insurance 24 hrs to get back in touch with me to arrange someone to call me in 3 days time. sureterm.

When mine was stolen the insurance were very laid back about it all despite me calling them nearly everyday once it was found 2 weeks later. It still took them 4 weeks to inspect it, value it and deliver it back to me on a truck. Don't know how long you have to wait for a payout if its not found?

Damn, sorry to hear this.

Fortress are some of the weakest steering locks in the land, there are much better.
Hope you get your lannie back intact mate.

Sorry to hear about your landy mate, my mrs watched mine drive away 7 week ago, police found it 2 days later 5 mile from my house. wasnt in the state i left it in 2 days before put it that way. the insurance was quick though due to them finding it. i feel for you mate as i was heart broken and have only just started sleeping properly. It has a big impact on you and your wallet, ive had to spend over 500quid just securing the drive it was parked on. Its put me off having another 90 or 110 as they tried twice in 2 week and succeeded the second time. Id be searching ebay for parts or if there stupid the whole car. i saw a 90 pick up drive past me last week with all the parts that went missing off mine, just cant proove anything. Whereabouts are you from mate? ill keep my eye out for it

H256 vwt' no sign yet, should I get anoth, well depends what they pay me \/ any idea 200tdi mint with 89.000 on .

Please all look out fot wrights acoustic matt, safari snorkel, mud dash mounted pod with turbo guage and 3 switches on.

ipf front spot lights.

first 4 off road roof bars with rear ladder, tubular buper, the list gos on.

thanks all

Mine was a k reg 1993. 200tdi and they gave me 3500 which i was very shocked at as i only paid 2800 for it. I think you'll get around the same for yours mate. landrovers seem to hold there money. My brothers rangey classic went the same night as mine and he got 2250 for that and it was a 1989 3.9 v8 and not in the best nick lol. The funny thing is my managers 2005 Vectra diesel also went the same night and he got 2k!!. I havnt baught another 90 as i cant go through the heartache again, i got my self a realy tidy 1993 200tdi rangey and pocketed the rest for security. Its a very hard decision to make as you hear about another 90 going missing every week.

Are those rims common for the 200TDi's ? Cos theres one on ebay. IDENTICLE to yours, only with no bull bar or anything. Same red though, and same wheels! Plus it has the plastic wheel arch covers.

Apart from the fact that they are breaking the law by not displaying their full company name and number on their listing - they are a registered limited company and have been running since 2005.
Not saying that means they are legit or anything - and they could have been sold the stolen Landie, but, it does hint that the company ok...

Whessoe road is renowned for pikey garages and usually well avoided.

Dont think its the same 90 though, kastle34s had alpine windows by the look of his pic and who would ring a motor only to give it 208000 miles

Yeah, I noticed it was a car dealer thing. The reason I still had my doubts was that a year ago I lost a Ford Fiesta and while walking around with the money I got from insurance wanting to buy another car I saw a Fiesta (at a dealership). Walked up to it and thought, hey thats like mine

Then I looked inside and saw a small coffee stain in the EXACT same spot on the carpet as mine did! Turns out someone stole it, forged my signature on the ownership and sold it on to the dealership.

You can never be too safe!

Only the one on ebay looks to be a 300tdi not a 200. I am in West Yorkshire so will look out for it.

I have just won one on Ebay with no ID and am worried now it may be stolen after Redhand planted the seed it could be.
