1997 Defender 300TDI Extensively modified and refurbished

In summary, I’ve owned this vehicle for 3 years and have spent ££££’s on it. Genuine reason for this reluctant sale

Currently it is showing 87k miles (although it has had speedo change between 2012 & 2014 before I owned the Vehicle) I bought the Defender with 81k on it. All the work listed has been done whilst I have owned it!!!!!

Just passed its MOT, where the Steering box was replaced with a rebuilt one as were all the steering joints.

Interior

Half Leather Front (heated) & Rear (forward facing) from a 2014 defender and are in perfect condition

Electric Front Windows, Central Locking to the front doors, Heated Windscreen and Door Mirrors

Full Exmoor Black Carpet Set (front and rear) including additional soundproofing.

RDX cubby box, centre console and dash mount

Black roof liner

Additional gauges, for Oil Temp, Turbo Pressure, exhaust temp

Thatcham Immobilizer

Centre bulk head lowering kit, (makes the driver’s seat more comfortable)

Engine

Fully rebuilt 300 tdi engine (20L Engine Code), new bearings, big end’s, new pistons, oil pump, water pump, timing gear & lift pump, a refurbished cylinder head & new clutch, heater plugs, injectors completed around 5k miles ago

In addition, it has a new Hybrid T28 Turbo connected to a full-frontal intercooler with silicon hoses, New Alternator, Radiator, engine mounts and front downpipe

Last Serviced 1k miles ago

Exterior & Underneath

Rebuilt front axle with a New Ashcroft Transmission Limited Slip diff, new drive shafts, Teflon Swivel Housings, all bearings, seals and brake discs.

Fully Polly Bushed throughout

New Heavy-Duty Springs and Shock’s (std ride height)

New Shock turrets

New Fulcrum and pivot mounts

Rear Discs and Callipers where replaced 3k miles ago

New Rear Chassis Cross Member with long legs

First Four Chassis Protector kit to the front and rear

Snorkel, Which bumper (winch not included) light bars

Wipac LED Front and rear lights

RDX Front grille and high flow wing vents

Bad Points

Rear windows are sealed to stop leaking and makes them more secure

No rear towbar

Heater Switch has been replaced

The defender, as you would expect, driver amazingly well & is a very pleasant place to be, although please remember the body is 20years old and it has a few scratches here n there. Tyres are all good with at least 4mm tread on them
