the gaylander is an embarrassment to the badge. its a land rover without the ability to rove over all land

I dunno. I was actually impressed with the offroad capabilities of the freebies when we did last years newbies trip.

I do alot of miles each year travelling to and from work. Any other landy is just too thirsty, slow or uncomfy. I don't purposly drive into the muddy stuff in my freelander, it's just good to know i won't get stuck in the snow or a wet muddy field.

The freelander did complete the camel trophy though didn't it.

I can't understand why some of you are so bothered by what other people drive. Whats the problem? If you don't like em, don't drive em.

You may consider it an embarrassment to the badge but it is still the most popular model and its sales kept the badge trading.

The S*L*U*T*S sorted out a days laning for inexperienced offroaders and those who were worried about damaging their vehicles. We started off on gentle lanes and gradually progressed to more challenging terrain. Although we cannot absolutely guarantee that no damage is caused to vehicles we do our best to depth test and advise newbies of the best way over or round abstacles.

The freelanders were getting a slating about not being fit to go offroad. As you can see by the pics this wasn't the case.
