LandRover Freelander 2 Key fobs ebay

Can i ask this question for my first post on the forum .
I have this problem after i replaced the battery in the key fob . Reason is i think that i damaged the earth track on the pc board . I know it an easy job,, but i had a problen removing the battery leg that was stuck in the pc board . My question is,, i can see after i have purchased the replacment case and battery that you can purchase complete brand new ket fobs with new chips in side but they will needs programming . Any one been down this road as a short cut to the rip off from LR for a new key fob ...

Any one done this .I can see key fobs brand new on Ebay with new pc boards complete only need programming . This will be a god send to Rangerover Freelanders owners with the 5 buttons remote and docking in the dashboard . If we can get them programmed they only cost £49 and then the payment for programming a little extra ..
