If it's so good why are you sellin it after just 2 weeks?

I see you forgot to mention that it's getting rubbish mileage out of it. 60 miles to £30 of fuel.

Cos a newbie of unknown credability has come onto the site and is selling his fantastic disco with only one minor fault

I simply asked why, if it is so fantastic and having only 1 minor fault, you are selling it after just two weeks of ownership?

I am also asking how the door lock effects fuel economy?

by my calculations you should be getting around 135+ miles to £30 of fuel so therefore it would be safe to assume that there is another problem with the vehicle.

You say it needs a service, when was it last serviced? How many miles has it done since?

Why was the fact it needed a service not mentioned in the advert? When was the cambelt last changed? When is it next due?

You seem to have a rather biased advert which seems to be somewhat economical with the truth. It seems to concentrate on the bits that have been added rather than the important bits. We often get newbies coming on here to sell their overpriced tat and then bugering off again once a member has been fleeced. You're not here to try and fleece anyone are you?

The point is he just might be interested, but suggested that your original posts about an mpg problem doesn't square with the advert.

ie, you appear to be a spammer who only really wants rid of the Landrover, which is fair do's if you're reasonably honest about it .. But no-one here knows you, no-one cares about you, We are a community and we care what happens in our community and don't want to see people ripped off by spurious adverts that might be selling a duff engined vehicle.

'course, it may not be duff-engined, it might only need a service, but your posts, manner of posting and general attitude suggest it is ... and that it needs more than a service 'cos you simply don't know **** about it!

Can't say it fairer or plainer than that .. ;)

the landy is fine runs spot on had lee from kellwood who deals in landrovers drive it and he said its a good motor that fact is why i am getting rid.is my wife is small and its hard for her to get in and out of it.or i would keep it as i like the drive of it.its only done 127 tho miles the cambelt was done at 100 tho i was told but no proof of that.

As long as Lee said it was ok that's fine with me.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

The pope said he liked mine.:cool::cool::rolleyes:

On the grounds that it is/was overdue a service yet you failed to mention it, has no proof other than say so of having had a cambelt done at 100k and the real known defects were left missing from your original description, Your landy would be one for me to walk away from every time. Your landy could be fine...... Unfortunately your credability that isn't and therefore I have to assume that your vehicle too isn't.

God help me if I ever try to flog a motor in here :))))
As somebody who is looking for one at the moment it's really good to see that folk are serious about the community ethos.
As for the motor for sale, my momma used to say if it smells like fish it's likely to be dodgy fish or a dodgy fa#%y, I'm out!

One thing you are guaranteed of on LZ is that "most" long term member's will insist on honesty when selling on the forum ... sadly there are a few "new" member's who join simply to shift their motor and then vanish ... Ratty has simply pointed one out .. fair play to the chippy munching g!t ;)
