Hi guys need rear crossmember replacing on my 1985 90 chassis all good right up to crossmember itself so will get away with short one ,,anybody in cheshire area able to give price on fitting ?? Call 07518174911 thanx in advance
 
I'm not anywhere near you, but i can tell you how i replaced mine. I had the car at just the bear chassis at that point, as you can see here:

So how did i do it with the tub off? Easy. The measurement for the positioning of it is 107cm from the center tub mounting bracket to the beginning of the swan neck. As for the position of the X member vertically, All of the tub support brackets need to be in line.
Here is a picture to illustrate things a bit clearer. Also, would just like to point out i bought the one with short extensions. Makes the job easier. Also watch out for all the wires on the inside of the box section.what i did was i pulled mine through a long way so they would not get affected, then used copper wire which i attached before hand to pull it back through again.
